Record-breaking rainfall recorded in Mid-Atlantic states

BALTIMORE, MD—Monday’s heavy rains caused several records to fall according to the National Weather Service.

At Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, 2.39″ fell on Monday, beating the previous record of 1.15″ set in 1934.



Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport recorded 2.74″, beating the previous record of 1.19″ set in 1967.

Dulles International Airport recorded 1.38″, beating the previous record of 1.31″ set in 2016.

At Reagan Airport, it was the 6th wettest November day on record, while at BWI, its the 5th wettest November day on record.
