Baltimore County government offices to close for Thanksgiving holiday

TOWSON, MD—Baltimore County government offices, including Health Department COVID-19 testing sites and CountyRide van service, will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.

All branches of the Baltimore County Public Library will be will be closed on Thursday, November 26. County parking meters are free on the holiday.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, Baltimore County will operate the below modified COVID-19 testing schedule for the week of November 23:

Maryland State Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093

  • Monday, November 23; 9 a.m. to Noon
  • Tuesday, November 24; 9 a.m. to Noon
  • Wednesday, November 25; 9 a.m. to Noon

Liberty Family Resource Center, 3525 Resource Drive, Randallstown, Maryland 21133

  • Monday, November 23; 9 a.m. to Noon
  • Wednesday, November 25; 9 a.m. to Noon

Dundalk Health Center, 7700 Dunmanway, Dundalk, Maryland 21222

  • Monday, November 23; 9 a.m. to Noon

Lansdowne Health Center, 3902 Annapolis Road, Lansdowne, Maryland 21227



  • Monday, November 23; 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Residents can book appointments online. While appointments are strongly encouraged, residents will not be turned away.

Additionally, residents can check with their local pharmacies about testing availability and can visit the Baltimore County Coronavirus Updates and Guidance page for more COVID-19 related information.

There will be no trash, recycling or yard materials collection and all County trash and recycling drop-off centers, including the Eastern Sanitary Landfill in White Marsh, will be closed on Thursday, November 26.

All scheduled collections will run normally and all drop-off centers will open with normal operating hours on Wednesday, November 25 and Friday, November 27.

The impact of holidays varies among Baltimore County collection schedules. County residents should consult their particular schedule to learn when to set out materials during weeks that contain a collection holiday. Residents may view their schedule on the Bureau of Solid Waste Management’s website. Schedules can also be obtained through the County’s BaltCoGo mobile app or by calling 410-887-2000.

Collections of all types may occur later than usual during the week following Thanksgiving. If a collection does not occur on the scheduled day during this period of time, materials should be left out until collection occurs.
