Baltimore County Police Department offers police facilities as Safe Exchange Zones for online transactions

NOTTINGHAM, MD—As the number of online purchases and sales of goods quickly increase, so do the potential risks associated with these transactions when they involve meeting a stranger.

The Baltimore County Police Department is encouraging anyone who makes an online purchase that involves an in-person interaction to use their police facilities.

All transactions are encouraged to be completed during daylight hours. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not allow transactions to take place inside of the precinct lobbies but offer the public parking lot or street parking in front of the police station.

A list of Baltimore County Police precincts that may be used as Safe Exchange Zones in and around the Nottingham area is below:

  • Parkville Precinct: 8532 Old Harford Road Parkville, MD 21234
  • White Marsh Precinct: 8220 Perry Hall Boulevard Baltimore, MD 21236
  • Essex Precinct: 216 N. Marlyn Avenue Essex, MD 21221
