Zeta to bring wind, rain to Maryland on Thursday [VIDEO]

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The remnants of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Zeta will bring gusty winds and heavy rain to Maryland on Thursday.

As of 11 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, Hurricane Zeta was located 235 miles SSW of New Orleans, LA moving north at 18 MPH. Zeta will make landfall in southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday afternoon and move across the eastern U.S. on Thursday.

Maximum sustained winds are currently at 90 mph and some additional strengthening is possible before landfall.



By Thursday evening, heavy rainfall is expected throughout Maryland, according to forecasters.

This rainfall will lead to flash, urban, small stream, and minor river flooding.

The entire state could see 2-4″ inches of rainfall and wind gusts of 40-50 MPH heading into Thursday night.
