NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating after shots were fired at an election worker from Nottingham while he was putting up signs in the Kingsville area.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon while Bradley Lang and his father, Neal Houk, were driving in the area of Mount Vista Road and Cedar Lane.

Bradley was doing this in his capacity as a member of the Baltimore County Republican Central Committee, according to Councilman David Marks.

Both Bradley and his father were unharmed in the incident.

The suspect was detained and questioned by police, but has not yet been identified.

“We are not used to this type of violence in our area, where Democratic and Republican elected officials tend to collaborate on local issues and respectfully disagree where there is a difference of opinion,” said Councilman Marks on Sunday.  “Freedom of expression belongs to all, and all should practice it without fear.”
