NOTTINGHAM, MD—Officers from the Baltimore County Police Department visited local churches this weekend as part of the first annual Faith and Blue weekend.
Faith and Blue is based on the premise that strong communities are built on mutual respect and understanding and that neighborhoods thrive when faith-based organizations and law enforcement work together to make communities safer and stronger.
“COVID-19 has made community engagement challenging. This weekend provides an opportunity to re-establish and build relationships, communicate, collaborate and break down barriers,” said BCoPD Chief Melissa Hyatt.
