TOWSON, MD—A memorial service honoring 59 members of the Baltimore County Fire Service who have died over the past year will be held Sunday, October 11 at Towson United Methodist Church, 501 Hampton Lane. It will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The service will be broadcast live on Towson UMC’s YouTube channel and also at www.towsonchurch.org.
Due to restrictions related to the pandemic, attendance in the church will be limited to families of the personnel being remembered. Masks will be required.
This annual memorial service, hosted by the Baltimore County Volunteer Firemen’s Association, honors career and volunteer firefighters, emergency medical personnel, ladies’ auxiliary members and other fire service members who passed away during the year.
Fire Chief Joanne R. Rund is scheduled to attend and participate in laying a wreath to honor the 23 career and 36 volunteer members lost over the past 12 months.
