Parkville 9/11 Path of Honor marks 9th year

PARKVILLE, MD—An annual tradition lives on in Parkville.

For the past nine years, volunteers have placed 2,977 American flags along Putty Hill Avenue, from Old Harford Road to Harford Road, in honor of those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The 2020 Path of Honor monument went up on Friday morning and is ready for next week’s anniversary of that fateful day.

The annual event is organized by The Hope and Peace Foundation.

The group will hold its annual Patriot Day Ride on Saturday, September 5th.  The ride will go from Darlington to Parkville.

The Hope and Peace Foundation will also hold its annual 9/11 Remembrance Bell Ceremony on Friday, September 11, at 8:30 a.m. at Baltimore County Fire Department Station 10, located at 2325 Putty Hill Avenue in Parkville (21234).
