Boy Scout Troop cleans up Carney watershed

CARNEY, MD—Summer storms have brought a large amount of debris into places like the Jennifer Branch of the Gunpowder River.

Over the weekend, Boy Scout Troop 124, which is based out of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Carney, got busy!

“Many thanks to the Scouts from Troop 124 who led a trash collection effort this weekend- Gabe Tomko, Ben Bromwell, Josh Maul, and Brady Maul, along with their sister Hannah Maul,” said Baltimore County Councilman David Marks.

“We are proud of their service to our community,” Marks added.

The Jennifer Branch watershed runs to the east of Old Harford Road, south of Gunpowder Falls State Park, north of Joppa Road, and west of Hines Estates (Drive).
