BCPS Summer Meals program to suspend operations on Tuesday due to Tropical Storm Isaias

TOWSON, MD—Due to inclement weather from Tropical Storm Isaias, Baltimore County Public Schools will suspend for one day – Tuesday, August 4 – its Summer Meals program at all 85 locations across the county where meals are distributed.

The program will resume at all locations on Wednesday, August 5. Instead of the usual one breakfast and one lunch that is distributed on Wednesdays, students can receive two breakfasts and two lunches to make up for the cancellation of service on Tuesday.

The Summer Meals program, offered each year by Baltimore County Public Schools, is providing free meals to youth of 18 years of age and younger. Recipients receive a breakfast and lunch on Monday through Wednesday and two breakfasts and two lunches on Thursday for both that day and Friday. Meals are not distributed on Friday.

Service will continue through mid-August.
