Angel Park announces Virtual 5K event

PERRY HALL, MD—Angel Park has announced a social distancing-friendly twist on a popular event.

The Perry Hall park will hold a Virtual 5K later this month.

Registrants will run (or walk) their race distance at any location they choose (treadmill, neighborhood, local park, or anywhere in the world between August 12th and August 18th.

From the official announcement:

If you are participating in the 5K and would like to be listed in the results make sure you are tracking your time and distance. You can do so with a watch or running app (example: Garmin watch, Strava App). Make sure you run the whole distance (3.1 Miles for a 5K) – you don’t want to do all that work and come up short. You will then be able to report your time. Results will be automatically updated as race times come in.
Race bibs will be emailed and race T-shirts will be mailed out.

*Sizes and availability of race shirts cannot be guaranteed after the 1st of August

Entry fees are non-refundable.

You will also be able to share your photos on social media by using the following hashtag: #AngelPark5K2020.

The money raised from the 5K will go towards installation of much needed new turf at Angel Park.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at https://www.angel-park.org.
