Storms possible on Thursday as heat wave continues

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Storms could develop in the Nottingham area on Thursday as the record-setting month of July wears on.

A Heat Advisory has been issued as heat index values could approach 109 degrees on Thursday.  A Code Orange Air Quality Alert is also in effect.



The National Weather Service says that a few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening.

The primary threat with these storms would be isolated, damaging wind gusts.
