Assault, burglary reported in Parkville

PARKVILLE, MD—Police are investigating several Parkville-area crimes that were reported over the past week.

At 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, an individual was assaulted in a parking lot in the 8700-block of Loch Raven Boulevard (21234) by a known, armed suspect. The suspect then fled the scene prior to officers arriving.



Sometime between 2 p.m. on Friday, July 24 and 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, an individual broke into a residence in the 8700-block of Emge Road (21234) by cutting a window screen, unlocking, and damaging a door. The suspect then stole checkbooks and cash from the home.

Sometime between 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 25 and 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, an individual attempted to gain entry into an apartment in the unit block of Dowling Circle (21234) by forcing open the sliding glass door, causing damage to the metal bar locking mechanism. No items were taken from the apartment.
