CSX railway shut down for rescue following White Marsh crash

WHITE MARSH, MD—CSX railway traffic was briefly stopped on Tuesday afternoon following a crash in White Marsh.

At just after 1 p.m., crews from White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company responded to a crash in the area of Allender Road near Red Lion Road.



At the scene, units found that a vehicle had gone over an embankment and landed near the railroad tracks.

A high-angle rescue operation was initiated and the railroad was shut down.

At around 1:30 p.m., the patient was successfully rescued and rail traffic resumed

There has been no word on their condition.
