NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Maryland Department of Health on Sunday reported that the statewide COVID-19 positivity rate dipped slightly while hospitalizations remained largely flat.
As of Sunday morning, there have been 73,109 cases of novel coronavirus in Maryland. The statewide positivity rate is now at 4.45%, a slight decrease from Saturday’s 4.55%. Baltimore County’s positivity rate now stands at 4.83%, a decrease from Saturday’s 4.94%.
There have been 3,188 related deaths and 392 individuals are currently hospitalized…an increase of 2 patients since Saturday. There have been 570,282 negative test results.
Baltimore County has confirmed 8,797 COVID-19 cases and and 474 deaths (note: “probable” deaths are not included in the totals below).

- 21162 (White Marsh) – 34 cases
- 21234 (Hillendale/Parkville/Carney) – 675 cases

“Maryland has now surpassed 800,000 COVID-19 tests, with a record 21,140 tests reported in the last 24 hours,” said Governor Larry Hogan on Sunday. “The statewide positivity rate is 4.45%, and the state is reporting 392 total hospitalizations.”
