NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Maryland Department of Health on Saturday reported that statewide COVID-19 hospitalizations ticked slightly higher over the past 24 hours.
As of Saturday morning, there have been 72,467 cases of novel coronavirus in Maryland. The statewide positivity rate is now at 4.55%, a slight increase from Friday’s 4.34%. Baltimore County’s positivity rate now stands at 4.94%, an increase from Friday’s 4.67%.
There have been 3,179 related deaths and 390 individuals are currently hospitalized…an increase of 5 patients since Friday. There have been 556,810 negative test results.
Baltimore County has confirmed 8,675 COVID-19 cases and and 474 deaths (note: “probable” deaths are not included in the totals below).

- 21162 (White Marsh) – 34 cases
- 21234 (Hillendale/Parkville/Carney) – 663 cases

“Maryland has now completed 786,786 COVID-19 tests and 629,277 Marylanders have now been tested, representing 10.4% of the state’s population,” said Governor Larry Hogan on Saturday morning. “The statewide positivity rate is 4.55%, and the state is reporting 390 hospitalizations.”
