NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Maryland Department of Health on Monday reported that statewide COVID-19 hospitalizations had decreased for a fifth straight day.
As of Monday morning, there have been 69,904 cases of novel coronavirus in Maryland. The statewide positivity rate is now at 4.51%, a decrease from Sunday’s 4.70%. Baltimore County’s positivity rate now stands at 5.06%, a decrease from Sunday’s 5.36%.
There have been 3,121 related deaths and 403 individuals are currently hospitalized…a decrease of 6 patients since Sunday. There have been 517,457 negative test results.
Baltimore County has confirmed 8,335 COVID-19 cases and and 461 deaths (note: “probable” deaths are not included in the totals below).

- 21162 (White Marsh) – 30 cases
- 21234 (Hillendale/Parkville/Carney) – 632 cases

“Maryland’s key COVID-19 metrics continue to trend in a positive direction as the statewide positivity rate reaches a new low of 4.51%,” said Governor Larry Hogan on Monday. “Total current hospitalizations have fallen to 403, and the state is reporting three new confirmed deaths, the lowest number since March 31.”
