Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for northeastern Baltimore County

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for portions of northeastern Baltimore County.

The warning will be in effect until 6:15 p.m. for areas including Towson, Carney, Parkville, Perry Hall, and Kingsville.

The main hazards associated with the approaching storm cell includes 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, and damage homes and vehicles.

Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.
