EDGEWOOD, MD—Two victims are recovering and detectives are investigating following a Sunday afternoon double-stabbing in Edgewood.

At just before 12:30 p.m., police responded to the 1700-block of Dearwood Court for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies located an adult female suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body. She was subsequently taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment of serious injuries.

Shortly thereafter, an adult male victim with minor injuries from the original incident was located.

Investigators say the first victim was in the area of the unit’s laundry room when she was involved in an altercation with a female suspect, which escalated into a stabbing.

The second victim was injured while trying to intervene during the assault. He was taken to University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. At this time, detectives do not believe this to be a random crime.

Anyone with additional information about this crime is asked to call Detective A. Ross, with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, at 443-567-7091.
