Baltimore County Animal Services places all surgeries ‘on hold’

BALDWIN, MD—Baltimore County Animal Services announced on Wednesday that all surgeries would be placed “on hold” until further notice.

“Due to a change in our resources, the public surgical department at Baltimore County Animal Services will be closing as of Friday June 5, 2020,” officials said in a statement. “This means that all public and TNR surgeries will be on hold until resources are once again available. We apologize for this sudden change and any inconvenience.”

“The safety and highest level of care of our patients, clients and staff is always our highest priority and we will resume appointments as soon as possible,” officials added. “Once we are able to resume these services, we will make another announcement…We thank you all for your continued patience and understanding while we navigate this ever changing situation.”
