Essex/Middle River crime: dog stolen during burglary, juveniles robbed by gang of 6 teens

MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Police are investigating several crimes that were reported in the Essex/Middle River area over the past week.

At 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, six juvenile suspects attempted to rob two juveniles in the 800-block of Middle River Road (21220). Three of the six juvenile suspects were arrested.



Sometime between 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, and 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, an individual broke into the Lucky Dragon carry-out, located in the 1200-block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221), by shattering the front door glass. Once inside, the suspects stole cash and a cash drawer before fleeing the scene.

At 9 p.m. on Friday, May 29, an individual broke into a residence in the 1500-block of Becklow Avenue in Middle River (21220).  Once inside the home, the suspect stole a laptop and a pit bull.

At 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, two known individuals assaulted and robbed a man of his property in the 1300-block of 3rd Road in Middle River (21220).
