PERRY HALL, MD—Since their traditional school ceremony was cancelled this year, the Perry Hall Improvement Association held a Memorial Day ceremony at the Perry Hall Veterans Memorial on Monday morning.
The memorial is located at the base of the flagpole at Perry Hall Elementary School.
Councilman David Marks recently announced that he would be forming committees to improve both the Perry Hall and Carney veterans memorials.
Attending Monday morning’s ceremony were members of the Perry Hall Improvement Association, Councilman Marks, Delegate Harry Bhandari, and Delegate Carl Jackson.
A rendition of “Taps” was performed by Perry Hall/Nottingham resident Keith DeFontes.
Americans are asked to observe a National Moment of Silence at 3 p.m. in honor of the men and women of the United States who died in the pursuit of freedom and peace.
