Two injured in crash following Joppa police chase

JOPPA, MD—Authorities responded to a pair of crashes in the Joppa area on Wednesday morning.

The first crash occurred at 8:45 a.m. in the 1800-block of Mountain Road, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.



In that crash, a car collided with an oil carrier. One person was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A second crash occurred at around 9:15 a.m. in the area of Route 152 at Trimble Road. Units arrived to find that a car had collided with a dump truck after attempting flee from police during a traffic stop.

Two patients were taken to a nearby hospital. There has been no update on their condition.
