Smoke from New Jersey wildfire visible in Baltimore County

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Smoke from a large wildfire in New Jersey is making its way into Baltimore County.

On Wednesday evening, the Baltimore County Fire Department reported that local 911 centers were receiving multiple calls related to heavy smoke conditions in the area.



On Tuesday night, Harford County officials responded to reports of a smoky hazeHarford County officials responded to reports of a smoky haze covering much of the county.

The smoke is the result of a large wildfire currently burning near Winslow Township, NJ.

The wildfire now spans more than 500 acres and is expected to grow to nearly 2,000 acres.
