MIDDLE RIVER, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Baltimore City and for southern Baltimore County.
Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level is expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.
The advisory will be in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. EDT on Thursday, especially around the time of high tide.
Tides will be 1 to 1.5 feet above normal. The next high tide at Fort McHenry Baltimore will be at 6:47 a.m. on Thursday. The next high tide at Bowley Bar will be at 7:58 a.m.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
