Application for Harford County COVID-19 small business relief grant application goes live, Baltimore County applications accepted through May 26

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Small business owners in Harford County may now apply for COVID-19 relief grants.

Applications went online on Monday morning for Harford County’s small business relief grants, paid for from Harford County’s share of federal CARES Act funding.

Small businesses with 2 to 50 employees can apply for $7,500 grants toward social distancing expenses, PPE purchases, payroll, and other operating costs. Farmers with 10+ acres can apply for grants of $2,500.



The Harford County grant application can be found online at https://www.harfordcountymd.gov/2880/24352/COVID-19-Business-Relief-Grants.

Officials will begin accepting applications after Memorial Day on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.  Once applications are approved, most checks are expected to be mailed out in June.

Meanwhile, in Baltimore County, grant applications will be open until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26th.

Awards will be announced in early June for the first round of applications. Future funding rounds will depend on additional funds raised.
