Assault reported at Royal Farms in Essex, burglaries reported in Middle River

ESSEX/MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported in the Essex/Middle River area over the past week.

Between 7 a.m. Thursday, May 7, and 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, an individual stole a catalytic converter from the a vehicle parked on Pulaski Highway in Middle River (21220). The suspect also stole several items that were inside the victim’s locked garage.



Between 6 p.m. on Monday, May 11, and 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, an individual broke into a shed in the 200-block of Antietam Road in Essex (21221) and stole two bicycles.

At just before 3 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, officers found a victim with severe head trauma in the back of the Royal Farms store located in the 1000-block of Old Eastern Avenue in Essex (21221). The victim was taken to a local hospital.

Between 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, and 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, an individual broke into a storage unit in the 3300-block of Eastern Boulevard in Middle River (21220) and stole various items.
