ZIP CODE REPORT: Hospitalizations remain flat as Baltimore County tops 4,000 COVID-19 cases

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Maryland Department of Health on Tuesday reported that there have now been over 34,000 COVID-19 cases in Maryland.

As of Tuesday morning, there have been 34,061 cases of novel coronavirus in Maryland, an increase of 688 cases since Monday.

There have been 1,643 related deaths, 6,287 total hospitalizations, and 1,563 patients are currently hospitalized.

There have been 135,442 negative test results and 2,394 individuals have been released from isolation.

Of Maryland’s 1,643 deaths, 792 have been in congregate facility settings (nursing homes).

Baltimore County has confirmed 4,051 COVID-19 cases and and 188 deaths while Harford County has confirmed 614 cases and 23 deaths (editor’s note: for the sake of accuracy, NottinghamMD.com is not including deaths categorized as “probable” in these totals).

Governor Larry Hogan last week indicated that Phase 1 of the Maryland Strong: Roadmap to Recovery could begin as soon as this week if the hospital utilization curve continued to remain flat.
