Towson Fourth of July fireworks cancelled

TOWSON, MD—Another annual tradition has been scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.



The Towson Communities Alliance announced on Saturday that their annual Independence Day fireworks display would be cancelled this year.

“Obviously, this is a big disappointment to many who enjoy the July 4th show,” the alliance wrote, “so we will plan to have a bigger and better event next year.”

The Fullerton Fireworks Foundation announced in April that their 2020 Fourth of July fireworks show would be cancelled this year as well.

The Kingsville Independence Day parade has also been cancelled this year to due the coronavirus pandemic.
