Wind Advisory in effect until 2pm, heavy rain expected

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for portions of Baltimore County and Harford County.

The advisory will be in effect until 2 p.m. on Thursday.  Gusts of up to 45 MPH are possible.

Forecasters say gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Motorists should use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Residents should take steps to secure outdoor objects.

Heavy rains are also in the forecast for Thursday, with Flood Watches already in effect for much of the area.

Some portions of Baltimore County and Harford County could see close to three inches of total rainfall.

Motorists should use caution and, as a reminder, never attempt to drive through standing water.
