PCBA cancels 2020 Spring Concert Series due to COVID-19 pandemic

PARKVILLE, MD—The Parkville Carney Business Association announced on Thursday that their 2020 Spring Concert Series would be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The PCBA Spring Concert Series usually takes place every Friday evening in May and in June.

“We felt that cancelling the spring concerts was the safest course of action due to the current health crisis,” said PCBA president Chris Montcalmo, who is a musician himself. “Stay tuned, as we’re working to organize a one-day music fest featuring some or all of these bands in the fall, should conditions allow.”

“There are some great local musicians in this area and they’re all dealing with a loss of income due to the pandemic,” Montcalmo added.  “We’d really like to feature them and bring the community together as soon as it is safe to do so.”

The concerts are usually held behind Racers’ Cafe on Harford Road.
