PERRY HALL, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Monday recognized a local woman for her fundraising efforts.

Pat Brooks Ecke has been selling face masks to raise money for the Officer Caprio Playground Project at Gunpowder Elementary School.

“I said, $1,000 then I passed that,” said Pat. “Then I thought well, let’s try $2,000. Then I passed that. So I raised it to $3,000 and I passed that too. Now, if my elastic and sewing machine last, I am shooting for $5,000.”

Anyone who wishes to purchase a mask can reach Pat at 443-506-8252. She makes no profit from this work.

“Pat Brooks Ecke (is) our Fifth District Good Samaritan for today,” said Councilman Marks.
