Two men arrested for attempting to rob woman behind Middle River church

MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Police in Baltimore County have arrested two men in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Middle River on Monday night.

At just before 10:30 p.m., a woman was standing behind Middle River Assembly of God located in the 9600-block of Bird River Road (21220).



Two suspects, one armed with a gun, walked up to the woman and demanded her money. The woman screamed for help and the suspects ran away.

Police quickly found and arrested the two suspects in the 1200-block of Middle River Road.

Nigel Carlton Torrence, 21, of the 1700-block of Waverly Way (21239), and Dontrell Kelvin Randall, 19, of the unit block of King Charles Circle (21237), were arrested and charged with armed robbery, first-degree-assault, and second-degree-assault.

Both men are being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a no bail status pending a bail review hearing.
