PERRY HALL, MD—Councilman David Marks on Thursday recognized the Woman’s Club of Perry Hall for their relief efforts during the novel coronavirus pandemic.
“Today, we honor the Woman’s Club of Perry Hall as our Fifth District Good Samaritans,” said Councilman Marks. “This volunteer organization, one of the oldest in eastern Baltimore County has been simply extraordinary over the past few weeks. Consider a handful of their efforts.”
“They’ve donated protective eyewear to UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center,” Marks added. “Members are making masks for Hopkins Hospital and UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. They donated cloth bags donated to the School Support Network for grocery delivery. They’ve make sizeable donations to the Baltimore County Emergency Response Fund, and purchased plastic to cut 40 face shields.”
“This is a tiny army of volunteers doing good,” Marks concluded. “We salute them today.”
Woman’s Club of Perry Hall members promote education, preserve natural resources, stress good citizenship, help others in need, encourage healthy lifestyles, and support the arts.
