NOTTINGHAM, MD—A regional grocery chain has stepped up and made a donation to a local organization that helps students in need.
Weis Markets has donated $5,000 to the Student Support Network.
The Student Support Network helps students who are struggling with the effects of poverty and homelessness by donating food, clothing, school supplies, and personal care items.
Weis made the $5,000 donation in the form of grocery store gift cards.
“Today’s Fifth District Good Samaritans are the leadership team at Weis Markets, which donated $5,000 in grocery store gift cards to the Student Support Netowork,” said Councilman David Marks. “In particular, I would like to acknowledge Rob Santoni Jr., general manager of the Fullerton store.”
