BALTIMORE, MD—This week, MDTA Police arrested a man and woman, both from Baltimore County, after stopping a stolen vehicle on O’Donnell Street in Baltimore City.
Officers took the individuals into custody after their investigation revealed that the pair was wanted on open warrants in Baltimore County and Harford County.
At just after 11:15 a.m. on Monday, an MDTA Police Officer witnessed a 2004 Ford Taurus exiting the Fort McHenry Tunnel Toll Plaza on northbound Interstate 95.
The officer confirmed that the Ford had been reported stolen by police in Aberdeen. Officers stopped the vehicle and detained its occupants.
The 25-year-old male driver was arrested on an open warrant issued through Baltimore County for failing to appear for a violation of probation hearing on the original charge of robbery.
The 39-year-old female passenger was arrested on an open warrant through Harford County for failing to appear on second-degree assault charges. Neither suspect has been identified.
Both were taken into custody and transported for their initial court appearances without incident.
