Would-be Rosedale shoplifter assaults grocery store employees, burglary reported in Nottingham

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Authorities are investigating a pair of local crimes that were reported this month.

Some time between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9, an individual broke the rear basement window to  break into a home in the 9200-block of Bowline Avenue in Nottingham (21236). Once inside, the suspect stole jewelry and cash before fleeing.



At just before 10 p.m. on Monday, March 11, an individual attempted to shoplift items from the Giant store located in the 8600-block of Philadelphia Road in Rosedale (21237). When two employees and a customer tried to stop the suspect, the suspect assaulted them and fled. The suspect was arrested and all property was recovered.
