Loyola University student tests positive for coronavirus

BALTIMORE, MD—A Baltimore college student has tested positive for coronavirus.

Loyola University announced on Sunday that an undergraduate student, who has not been on campus since exhibiting symptoms, tested positive for COVID-19.



Another undergraduate student is awaiting test results, university officials say.

Both students are recovering at home.

Face-to-face instruction at Loyola University has been discontinued until after Easter Break. No classes were to be offered between March 11-March 17.

Classes will be offered online beginning Wednesday, March 18. Face-to-face instruction will resume on April 13 for graduate students and on April 14 for undergraduate students.

Existing online courses are continuing uninterrupted. All residence halls closed on Friday, March 13, at noon.
