BALTIMORE, MD—Maryland’s Public Health Laboratory located in Baltimore on Thursday evening confirmed the first three positive cases of coronavirus in the state.

The patients contracted the virus while traveling overseas, according to Governor Larry Hogan.

The three patients are currently listed in good condition.

“We have been actively preparing for this situation over the last several weeks across all levels of government,” said Governor Hogan. “I encourage all Marylanders not to panic, but to take this seriously and to stay informed as we continue to provide updates.”
