NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police have charged a teen in connection with a robbery that occurred on Stoneleigh Road and have linked him to an additional carjacking on Kolb Avenue in northeast Baltimore.
Detectives have charged a 14-year-old with the robbery of two women in the 800-block of Stoneleigh Road on January 24th. The women parked on the street around at 6:15 p.m. when another vehicle stopped behind them. Three male suspects approached them demanding the car and their possessions, one producing a handgun. Both women suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident when the passenger, 20, was struck in the face and the driver, 73, was struck in the head.
The women screamed and made noise, attracting the attention of neighbors, and scaring off the three suspects who fled in the vehicle they had arrived in.
The same 14-year-old suspect has also been linked to the armed carjacking of a real estate agent in the 4300-block of Kolb Avenue (21206) on January 26, for which a 15-year-old boy has also been charged. Both boys were initially charged as juveniles, with cases to be reviewed by the Office of the Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore County.
Both cases remain open in an attempt to identify any additional suspects. Anyone with additional information should contact detectives at 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
