Baltimore County Council passes resolution to move work session start times

TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Council has passed a resolution that will move work session start times from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays.

The resolution was co-sponsored by Councilman David Marks, Councilman Wade Kach, and Councilman Izzy Patoka.

“I have long thought that council meetings that should be held at a time that it most convenient to the public,” Councilman Marks told NottinghamMD on Wednesday.

“The best governments are transparent, accessible, and connected…” said County Executive Johnny Olszewski.  “I’ve long championed moving the start time of public meetings so that they are more accessible to the public, and I applaud the County Council for moving forward with this reform.”

The new resolution will take effect immediately.
