CARNEY, MD—A man who was reported missing from the Carney area on Wednesday has been found dead.
David Albert Reeves, 81, a resident of Oak Crest Senior Living Community in Carney, was found dead on Thursday morning.
Officers responded to the 8800-block of Walther Boulevard at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday night when Reeves was reported missing by family members following a campus-wide search by Oak Crest Security.
Officers and Oak Crest personnel conducted multiple extensive searches of all buildings and property, including a door-to-door ground search.
Security cameras were checked, aviation searched the grounds and adjacent areas from above, and K-9 officers responded with two search and rescue bloodhounds, but Reeves could not be located.
Through cooperative efforts, police and Oak Crest personnel continued investigative and search efforts until Reeves was located in a ravine in a densely-wooded area near the end of Woodcove Court at just before 9 a.m. on Thursday morning.
