NOTTINGHAM, MD—The son of two Baltimore County police officers was killed on Tuesday.
A deadly shooting at a South Carolina nightclub claimed the life of 18-year-old Garrett Bakhsh.
Bakhsh died at 8 p.m. Tuesday night from injuries he sustained in the shooting.
Police responded to the deadly shooting at Mac’s Lounge on Camden Avenue at around 2 a.m. on Sunday, according to WIS-TV.
Dicaprio Collins, 21, and Bryan Robinson, 29, were also killed in the shooting. Officials said three others were hurt.
Garrett was the son to Brad & Natalie Bakhsh, both members of Baltimore County Police Department. Natalie was a resource officer for many years working out of the Essex Precinct, according to Councilwoman Cathy Bevins.
Garrett was a member of the lacrosse team at Coker University and was studying criminal justice in hopes of entering a career in law enforcement, according to WPDE.
Bakhsh had graduated from Hereford High School in Parkton. This was his first semester at Coker University.
A GoFundMe page has been established as a family memorial fund.
“This fund is being established to help Garrett’s family with immediate expenses as they navigate the difficult journey of bringing Garrett home to rest,” reads the GoFundMe page. “Any remaining funds will be used to create a long term memorial tribute in Garrett’s name.”
