TOWSON, MD—Baltimore County Public Schools announced on Wednesday plans to celebrate their first-ever College Day.
On Thursday, February 6, all community members, students, parents, businesses, and staff are invited to break out their shirts, hats, and jackets celebrating a college, university, fraternity, or sorority.
“I look forward to sharing my appreciation and enthusiasm for my own alma mater, Hampton University, with the entire community on College Day,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Darryl L. Williams. “As we prepare every young person for a rewarding career, we know that most jobs now require at least some post-secondary education. College Day is just one way to show each student that they, too, are college material.”
On Feb. 6, families and fans in schools, offices, and businesses may share photos of their collegiate attire using the hashtag #BCPSCollegeDay or by emailing [email protected].
The newest part of the We Are Team BCPS campaign, BCPS College Day, aims to bring the community together.
