Baltimore rapper Dee Dave killed in Essex double-shooting

ESSEX, MD—The man who was killed in a double-shooting in Essex on Friday morning was a local Baltimore rapper.

David Leroy King, A.K.A. “Dee Dave,” was killed in a shooting that occurred at just after 5 a.m. in the 900-block of Holgate Drive.  A second man was injured in the shooting.



The 29-year-old rapper had been scheduled to fly to Atlanta on Friday for a show.

He also held a full-time job as a Baltimore Gas & Electric contractor, according to WJZ.

Baltimore County Homicide Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit by calling 410-307-2020.
