BCPS to remain open on Presidents’ Day ‘pending Board approval’

TOWSON, MD—Baltimore County Public Schools plan to remain open this Presidents’ Day.

BCPS announced on Friday that, pending approval by the Maryland State Board of Education, all schools and offices would remain open on Presidents’ Day.

This year, Presidents’ Day falls on Monday, February 17th.

BCPS said that schools would remain open that day to make up for the December 16th closure.

The school system also announced that all schools and offices would be closed on Tuesday, February 4, for the 7th congressional district election to fill the remainder of the term in the United States House of Representatives created by the death of Elijah Cummings, the incumbent representative.

This closure will shift the last day of classes for students from Friday, June 19 to Monday, June 22.
