NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating several local crimes that were reported over the past week.
At 4:45 a.m. on Christmas Eve, an individual pried open the front door to Overlea Liquors, located in the 6700-block of Belair Road in Overlea (21206). Once inside, the suspect stole cash from the register and then fled.
At 5:15 a.m. on Christmas Eve, an individual broke into Niki Food Mart, located in the 6300-block of Kenwood Avenue in Rosedale (21237), by breaking the front door locks. Once inside, the suspect stole the ATM and then fled in a vehicle.
At just before 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, an individual broke into the back room of the Royal Farms, located in the 800-block of S. Marlyn Avenue in Essex (21221), then stole several cartons of cigarettes.
At 1 p.m. on Thursday, a woman was assaulted by two individuals in the 1400-block of Clearstream Road in Essex (21221) while she was delivering food. They stole her cell phone before leaving the scene.
At 5 p.m. on Thursday, an individual approached the victim in a school yard in the 100-block of Bennett Road in Essex (21221). The suspect demanded the victim’s bicycle, then struck the victim in the face before stealing the bicycle.
