NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Avenue at White Marsh on Friday announced that it would be updating its Youth Escort Policy for the holidays.
The Avenue’s updated policy will be in effect from 5 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019 through Tuesday, December 31, 2019.
The updated policy requires all young visitors under the age of 17 to be under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian 21 years of age or older.
Those 17 and older will be required to provide ID with photo and birth date.
All unsupervised visitors, under the age of 17 or without proof of age, will be required to have transportation from The Avenue at White Marsh prior to 5 p.m.
Any underage employee, working at The Avenue when this policy is in effect, will be considered under the supervision of their manager.
Transportation off of the property is to occur at the end of their shift and immediately upon leaving their place of employment.
At 5 p.m., all unsupervised visitors under 17 or without proof of age will be in violation of the center’s Youth Escort Policy – which is subject to a 3-month ban from the property. This barring period does not allow for return during the 3-month time period – with or without supervision.
For those with children visiting the ice rink:
Young visitors with tickets to skate after 5 p.m. must have adult supervision up until their skate session begins and immediately upon exiting the rink area. The ice rink will not permit unsupervised children to wait in the rink area for any extended period of time regardless of ticket purchase.
For those with children visiting AMC Theatres:
Young visitors with tickets to an AMC screening after 5 p.m. must have adult supervision up until the scheduled screening begins and immediately upon exiting the theatre. AMC will not permit unsupervised children to wait in the theatre lobby for any extended period of time regardless of ticket purchase. All screenings after 9 p.m. require a parent/guardian 21 or older to purchase a ticket and remain throughout the screening with any child/children under the age of 17. Young visitors 17 and older should be prepared to present identification before entering the theatre. Identification will be required with or without a movie ticket.
