Students from 10 BCPS high schools featured in 2 statewide dance events

TOWSON, MD—Baltimore County Public Schools dance students will participate in two statewide dance events sponsored by the Maryland Dance Education Association.

At both events, students will participate in masterclasses during the day and perform in a public concert in the evening.

At both events, tickets, sold at the door, will be $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.

Cash or checks only will be accepted.

The 31st Annual Maryland Public High School Dance Showcase will involve students from five BCPS high schools: George Washington Carver Center for Arts & Technology, Hereford, Milford Mill Academy, Patapsco, and Perry Hall.



The 8th Annual Maryland Dance Alliance will involve students from eight BCPS high schools: Dulaney, Franklin, Hereford, Milford Mill Academy, New Town, Owings Mills, Parkville. and Patapsco.

The mission of the BCPS dance education program is to provide quality performance-based instruction with experiences that include perception and response activities with movement, historical, social, and cultural dance forms, creative expression and production, aesthetics, and personal development for a successful lifetime.
