GoFundMe page established for family whose Nottingham home was struck by vehicle

NOTTINGHAM, MD—A GoFundMe page has been established for a Nottingham family whose home was struck by a vehicle earlier this month.

On Monday, December 2, 2019, a driver lost control of her vehicle, crashing through the home of Sarah & Felix De Luca and their 4 children (ages 15, 12, 10, and 4) on Ridgetown Drive (21236).

Baltimore County has declared their home, which the family was renting, uninhabitable.

They are in the process of moving, but Sarah De Luca has been unable to work while dealing with this situation and they did not have renter’s insurance, according to a friend of the family.  The complex has transferred the family to another unit, but they still have moving costs and missed time from work.

“The De Luca family needs some extra help to cover the time missed from work, moving costs, groceries, replacing damaged furniture, etc,” reads the GoFundMe page. “The driver of the vehicle is uninsured so any reimbursement from her is unlikely. This is the season of giving, so let’s all pitch in to help this family of 6 have a Merry Christmas!”

Anyone wishing to contribute may do so by visiting the De Luca family’s GoFundMe page here.
